Heart Punch
« on: April 24, 2007, 07:02:00 PM »
I've been nursing an injury lately so have been trying to keep it light. None the less, I was sparring yesterday with some mates and pulled off a sweet streight punch  right down the center onto my poor opponents sternum. OOOhhh...  :P down he went, pretty well out. After I got him up, we took a break. I've become really fond of this streight in chest focus when it feels right. Does any one else go for this kind of attack?
I've dropped two or three with this. Even when we light sparr, unless there is body injury we go full on to the body so I first put it out full power there. Like everything else it can't be forced but when it's right down the center it sure takes the fight out of 'em. Particulary with the vicious chain attack flowing along after. The heart/lung trauma is pretty intense. Only thing seems to be that it must be STREIGHT in, no angle right to their core. You can feel their rib cage bend around your fist for a split second. There's a 'sweet spot' like on a base ball bat where the body back shocks majorly.
Any way it was pretty trippy.
